I was so pleased with my pink Gloomy apron and had such fun making it that I decided to make a black one too! I made it to match my BTSSB Gloomy Bear bag and I can't wait to wear them together. Also, now I have two, it means I can twin with someone!

The black fabric was a nightmare to track down. You would think that plain black cotton of a medium weight would be easy enough to find, but nope! It took me months to find a black fabric that wasn't either thin, sparkly or mostly polyester. Of course, there are many online fabric stores, but you can never tell quite what the fabric will be like in person, so I was reluctant to buy from them. I wish I'd bought some at that closing down market sale when I got my pink fabric, but at the time my only plan was to make the pink one. I didn't know it would go so well. Sewing is strange like that. Sometimes it goes great and sometimes it's a disaster, and there seems to be no ryhme or reason.

I used all the same lace as I did for my pink one, to make them totally matching. I still haven't made the claws for the black one either, but it's on my to-do list!
