Sweet Check Shirring OP
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
This was a dream dress of mine. Unfortunately it arrived very badly damaged. It was covered in ink and I wasn't sure I would be able to fix it. Two bottles of isopropyl later, the worst of the staining had gone. A blueish tinge remains on the lace on one sleeve and some large blots on the same sleeve that I couldn't remove fully. I decided to add lace panels to the sleeves to cover the remaining stains. I added a thick stripe of lace to each sleeve then a stripe of daisy lace on either side, plus some scattered daisies to cover some more spots. I also added daisy lace around the neckline to make it cohesive. If you look closely you can still see some staining, but overall it now looks like part of the pattern and it mostly covered by lace. I really like how it looks with all the extra lace. Even though it took a lot of time and effort, I'm glad I didn't give up on this dress.
